Congressman Pete Aguilar on DACA, Govt Shutdown

California Congressman Pete Aguilar serves as the Whip for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus and as Assistant Whip for the House Democratic Caucus. He is one of the original co-sponsors of this year's Dream Act.

DACA is set to expire on March 5th, 2018, but Congressman Aguilar is set on working to reach a solution before then, even if it means risking a government shutdown, according to National Public Radio.

Our responsibility is to fix this. We will continue each and every step of the way, each and every day to make progress, at times working with our Republican colleagues who agree with us on this issue in order to solve this.
