Carlos Sanchez has dedicated his life to protecting and empowering immigrant communities. Carlos earned his B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, where he majored in Legal Studies and Minored in Ethnic Studies. During that time, he worked in the City and County of San Francisco Office of Civic Engagement and Immigrant affairs. Carlos attended law school at the University of California, Irvine School of Law. Following graduation and passing the California Bar Exam, Carlos became a fellow with the American Civil Liberties Union of San Diego and Imperial Counties. There, he assisted with researching Due Process rights at the border, providing know your rights presentations to immigrant detainees, and assisting with the implementation of the Lopez Venegas class action. After working in Civil Litigation for several years, he returned to his passion: fighting for immigrant communities. Mr. Sanchez is a member of a mixed status family and personally understands many of the issues facing his clients and their families. He spends his free time cycling in the San Gabriel Mountains, playing guitar at home, and visiting Disneyland with his wife.
Carlos has argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
